Tressica Thomas is a fun loving, compassionate, and outgoing 23-year old from Richmond, Texas. She will be graduating from Texas State University in December 2009 with a degree in Speech Language Pathology/Audiology. She has also been featured on the Texas State home page under the "Be a Bobcat" section, and  is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.


Does Tessica live to dance or dance to live? Dance has always been a big part of her life. Her passion for performing started when she was very young. She was a cheerleader in junior high, and during high school she was a member of B.F. Terry’s dance team The Rangerettes where she was a social officer and received awards for her solo at competition. She was also a Hip Hop dance instructor for 1 1/2 years at Forever Dance Academy in Rosenberg, TX, where her pieces were performed at the Annual Spring Show. She was also a member of the Praise Team at Good Hope Baptist Church in Houston, TX. Once she transferred to Texas State she decided to explore a different genre of hip hop and became a member of Texas State's Harambee - Hip Hop Dance Group and Step Team and eventually made president of the team. Tressica is a strong believer that "life is not about finding yourself its about creating yourself" and is so excited about creating such a new and exciting chapter in her life with the Austin Turfcats!!
