College Internships

The Austin Turfcats offer a multitude of internship opportunities with a variety of areas of concentration.

An internship with the Turfcats is a “for credit only” internship, or “non-paid.” Interning with the Turfcats does NOT guarantee employment with the club upon completion of the internship. All expenses arising from the acceptance of an internship are the sole responsibility of the intern.

Interns are expected to adhere to the guidelines of the internship as agreed upon. All interns are expected to comply with the game-day hours (and office hours when applicable) unless otherwise agreed upon by the Turfcats and the intern.

Internships with the Turfcats are general in nature. Interns may be assigned to work in any of the following areas:

- Media Relations
- Marketing
- Operations
- Hospitality
- Community Relations

However, every day is a different day in the Turfcats office and the responsibilities of an intern will vary. Interns are expected to be ready to help in any department and in any way possible.

Applicants who live in Central Texas or attend a college or university in Central Texas will be given priority over non-local applicants. Non-local applicants will be considered only in the event that all available positions cannot be filled by local applicants.

High School Students

We also have internship opportunities for students age 16 and older who are interested in working with a professional sports team. These students can serve as ushers, runners, and other assistants on game days.
